  • This historical modification brought several problems along, such as poor oil lubrication of major components (IMS shaft bearing, Crankshaft etc), worse material overall, heads water leaking and so on.
  • We’ve been overhauling these engines for almost 10 years now and we basically know every engine failure that could happen and how to prevent it.

  • descrizione: Scavenging and aeration in the oil pan have been identified as a problem in the 996, 997 and Boxster models that experience high G-forces on the racetrack.
    FVD has the solution:
    The ”FVD Motorsport” oil pan has the baffling concept of the X51 oil pan. It also increases the oil capacity because the pan is deeper. This pan adds close to 3/4 of quart (0.6 Liters) of oil over the original X51 pan. This allows for increased oil cooling and engine performance by preventing oil starvation and oil foaming.
    The ”FVD Motorsport” oil pan is also designed with external cooling fins
    which helps to lower the oil temperature.

FVD Billet Diverter Valve - Reinforced

  • descrizione: FVD Diverter valve is a direct replacement for the OEM valve.
    Prevents boost leaks and “recovers” quicker for better boost and throttle response.
    Why replace the OEM Diverter valve with an “FVD Diverter Valve”
    Under higher boost pressures the BOSCH valve can start to leak (Plastic housing).
  • The plastic cover begins to lift off the sealing face as the internal spring’s resistance is exceeded. Our diverter valve is made out of aluminum.
    Between shifts or sudden throttle lift-off the compressor wheel is still spinning very fast and pumping air at the closed throttle plate, as well as placing strain on the intercooler, hoses and fittings. The diverter valve keeps air from flowing backwards over the compressor wheel allowing the turbocharger to continue spinning freely.
    When back on the throttle, boost pressure rises much quicker with an FVD diverter valve.
